Pigeons v Squirrels – Squirrels In Retreat?

It seems all around London, ever since the outing of their intended takeover of the urban landscape, the squirrels are shitting themselves.

Check this out. A picture sent to me by the mighty Annie Mole, taken in St James’s Park, that clearly demonstrates the dominant position currently held by the pigeon:

Note his nonchalant stroll clearly taking the day in his stride while the squirrel exhibits a look of stricken panic as he desperately tries to escape.

Bring it on.

Very good to hear, I’ve never liked squirrels – rats with furry tails they are. In French we call them ecureuils, but I’m much happier with encureuils….

RoooRoooo: Indeed they are! Maybe we can put the ‘pigeons are rats with wings’ thing to bed once and for all?

    Brian,

It’s good to see that British pigeons are putting the squirrels in their place. I went walking in Harvard Square this morning and spotted a squirrel clutching a wad of slightly smeared toilet paper in its mouth. In any case us pigeons are likely to blame, as we can’t be persuaded to stray very far from the local Dunkin’ Donuts.

    Cheers

Charles that’s awful – god alone knows what it was doing eating loo paper.

However both you and Brian are on dangerous ground with the “rats with wings” and “rats with furry tails” things. Perhaps you should join forces rather than fight!

Not sure who I’d put my money on in a fight between the two of you though
