And the BAFTA goes to… Doug – only kidding

Right – back in my Soho suite – Norm turned up earlier – Ali’s mate who works here too – so I had to chip. Deal is we can’t both be here at the same time, which is fair enough. Feathers make him sneeze.

So… went off to find Doug.

Found him on his way to The Globe – an outdoor theatre on the South Bank – mainly does Shakespeare stuff. He reckons he was on his way to make a ‘guest appearance’. Fucking hilarious. Says he does it at least once a week. Just flies in and stands on the stage for a while. So far he’s guested in Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet, Midsummer Night’s Dream and Macbeth – when he was telling me he did the classic fucking “mmm, you know darling, the other play, the Scottish play…” can’t-say-Macbeth-coz-it’s-bad-luck actor’s thing. Twat. I did say I’d go with him one night and take a pic. Should be a laugh. He reckons if he keeps doing it, he’ll get spotted. Sad.

This is Doug last summer doing the classic opener from Richard III “Now is the winter of our discontent…etc etc”. To be honest he went well OTT on the hunchback thing and overacted the fuck out of it.

 Doug as Richard III

Then I told him about Gimpel and, yep, he puked.

Merci! Sorry, that’s all the French I know. Not bad for a pigeon though.
tbh have been thinking of doing a day trip to Paris one day – if you can let me know if you’ve heard where the Paris pigeons hang out that would be ace.
