I am looking for someone that knows the proper size to make the opening in a dovecote? I have a few homers and just average doves that I would love to build a dovecote for soon. Can find plenty of pictures but few actual details. Any help will be appreciated.
Perry: Good to hear from you. You got me with that one - have you tried any of the racing pigeon sites? They might be able to help. Sadly - being a towny pigeon myself I can only dream of having me own pigeon house. Good luck though - let me know how it goes.

why the fuck are you wasting your time with disease filled peices of crap??? they eat garbage off the floor we need to kill more of them and maybe they will have more food….to this year of 2007 i have killed 34 pigeons hahaha thats only 2 weeks we been in 2007 wow imagine how many i can at the end of the year! lol wow

It could have like alot of helpful postings on it for sick and injured pigeons peoeple find or just about how f-ing cool pigeons are we could even post photos n shit.
The most invasive, rude, inconsiderate, noisy, unbearable creatures on the planet. I took care of my pigeon problem with a professional exterminator. I can actually go about my business in peace and quite. Gone are the pigeons that somehow thought they had more right to my property and my space than I do.

for those in Australia on the west coast come to the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts Sept12-Oct 23 to hear an elevator transformed into a pigeons’ home loft with the sounds of 120 pigeons. The exhibition is called “I took a deep breath” and is for BEAP07 (Biennale of Electronic Arts Perth).
Now that Alan Bradley has restricted pigeon feeding in Trafalgar square, the poor creatures have had to travel further afield to look for food and to survive. The number of pigeons in Pimlico and Westminster have doubled. Unfortunately, I live in the same street as the Councillor and a number of his supporters. To curb the spread of pigeons, Bradley has decided to hire the use of hawks. Local residents are being restricted from feeding birds altogether.
All this is being done to protect the reputation and work of the Councillor. No consideration is being given to the Lord’s creatures or to the feelings of Westminster residents who, out of their own expense, take little pleasure in feeding and looking after the wildlife.
